Innovation and long-term relationships are key to the success of Save & Invest (S&I). They look after many fourth-generation families from four offices across the UK and have been training graduates since 1987. Some have gone on to found their own businesses or move into fund management, but many now form the core of S&I’s business.

The wider S&I group encompasses a solicitor and estate agency business, with greater interaction between the 60 colleagues enabling a true cradle to grave range of services provided to clients.

Business efficiency is very important, so S&I has been relentless in the use of technology to serve clients and enhance profits. They have operated on bespoke IT since 1988, have a team of six developers at the heart of its business. They removed paper more than 20 years ago and platform charges 10 years ago.

They have been working flexibly and remotely on central systems for decades, so it was an effortless transition to move to fully remote working last year. All meetings were by video and for the majority of clients this will probably continue, with the facility being built into the next version of S&I’s operating system, Wealthpro.
